Sorry no suggestions here dyz. But I just wants to share my excitement with others as a new brewpub / retail spot run by creemore has just opened at the end of my street. Picked up a growler (12 bucks) of their house brewed IPA after work today and it's fantastic. Brewed 5 days ago and bottled today. They have about 12 beers as of right now ranging from a Porter to Belgian blonde and I intend on trying all of them happy Wendel

Hurray for brewpubs! Love supporting the local guy, getting beer super-fresh, and constantly having access to novel stuff, all at the same time. Plus, as your growler note shows, it's one of the easiest ways to get quality brew for a reasonable price.

so after doing some more digging about this place when I got home I find its actually a joint venture by Creemore and Granville island breweries both of which are great (both now owned by Molson but thats another story) also I have found out that they will be doing some importing of rare craft beers that usually wouldnt make it to Canada ..... ended up finsihing the growler of 6.5% IPA and slept like a friggin baby

If you don't mind suggestions from south of the border, I would highly recommend anything from Unibroue, but especially Trois Pistoles. I take every opportunity to pimp that particular brew. An absolutely phenomenal beer from one helluva good brewer.

Man... I was devastated when I found out Red Racer wasn't in Alberta anymore. But then my friend was going to Kelowna so I was all like bring back 10 cases.

Yea, he spent 2 hours searching liquor stores today and it was sold out everywhere. No deschutes either. God damnit.

I finally was able to get a pack of Pliny the Elder. Beer Advocates rank it as a 100 out of 100. I'm not an IPA guy, but this is one good IPA. It's got that hoppy taste, but the finish is so smooth and citrusy, I was pretty impressed.

I also got their Blind Pig, but haven't tried it, yet. It's not ranked nearly as high though.

We caught a break in the weather hereabouts today, cooled all the way down to 102. Hit 106 yesterday, been over 100 a couple times already which is unusual here, some years it never breaks 100 and when it does it's not until late July at the earliest.

It's all good though, kicking back after another day busting my ass out in that heat, tossing back a bottle of Lagunitas Censored and jamming to some COC.

What's on the drinks menu my frothy brothers?

Wrapped up a 13hr day of trial prep. And I'm just sucking back (how were they referred?) lawn mower beers.
