I like picking up Callahan with his current slow start, and Shatty isn't getting relied upon like he was in Colorado. So I would do the deal, but I'm not doing back flips over the move.

If you need assists/ +/- / PIM then to me Shattenkirk/Downie is the side I'd take. Downie will help you destroy one of your five skater categories alone and Shattenkirk IMO is a great option if you're looking for assists and +/-. I'm fairly confident that Shattenkirk will be a + player by the end of the year.
