Jets sign forgotten Swiss goalie prospect David Aebischer to tryout contract
seems unlikely they would want a career backup but I guess it never hurts to let a guy tryout

Any news on the Bogosian contract?

In the daily ramblings, Dobber doesn't think much of the Jets chances to do much of anything this year. I think that's more than fine. Yakupov would shore up their RW position quite nicely.

i dont think jets have a chance in hell in making the playoffs. the east got stronger, there is no way they beat out 7 teams UNLESS pavelec stands on his ass and pulls a carey price.

They may not make playoffs, but They finished 12th in the East last year and will be an improved team. The biggest question will be the consistency of their goaltending. Pavelec AND Mason were horrible from mid-February on last year. They're definitelyy better than Florida, and IMO no worse than the rest of the mediocre teams in the East (Carolina, Ottawa, Toronto, NYI, NJ).

What are your thoughts on the addition of Eric Fehr to the line up?

It's a solid depth move, but that at the most. He's never really done anything special in his injury prone career for me to think otherwise. Yes he was burried in Washington, so maybe he will get more of an opportunity in Winnipeg. I'm not sure where he fits in because I don't think he should get second line minutes.
