W=2 S.O.=2 OTL=1
Who would you rather have? I have Holtby and Schneider now and was wondering if I should drop one of them for Pavelec |

Both those guys are young goalies with good potential and little proved. While Pavelec clearly has more of a track record and starting experience, I would stick with Holtby myself.
The Caps are not as bad of a team as they looked to start this campaign and seem to finally be turning it around. Say what you will about OV, Washington still has one of the most talented lineups in the game, it's just that they have gone through 3 coaches in less than a year. Everyone was hoping that Oates would come in, let OV off the leash, and everything would be ok, but it takes time for a team to adopt all the changes Oates has implemented. The team is getting its act together and Laich will be back, which should be a huge boost.

I'd make the swap for Pavelec. Pavelec should see more starts and the Jets have been out playing the Capitals. If you drop Holtby he will remain a free agent, so I would roll with Pavelec, and if the Caps can turn it around then you can make the swap back, but at the moment I feel Pavelec is the better play.

Once you drop a player you can't pick him up again

That makes things a bit more interesting. I guess I would tough it out a little while longer with Holtby, and if the Capitals don't start climbing out of the basement, then I would go towards Pavelec. I'm not to worried about Pavelec getting scooped up in the mean time, and if he does, then you ride Holtby out until the end.
