Pitkanen apparently left Tuesday's game with an LBI:

The Canes played the third period without defenseman Joni Pitkanen, who left late in the second with a lower-body injury. Muller said after the game that he did not know of the severity of Pitkanen's injury.

"Losing (Pitkanen) was a big blow for us tonight," Muller said.

Hmmm. I've been waiting for this.

Here's the thing. If Pitkanen misses games, is there a bonifide QB? I've read pp time on ice in Faulk's favour and Corvo and McBain. Would there be a clear favourite? Whoever it is, this could be big, especially if Pitkanen is gone for a while and with his injury past, its a possibility. Can't find anything.

Yeah, I also haven't seen anything on how long/serious, if at all, this may be for Pitkanen.

But assuming it's anything, I agree with your assessment of the PP situation. I think it'd be a clear win for Faulk, followed by Corvo, followed by McBain (though all would see an uptick in PP time as a result).

Joni Pitkanen left Saturday's game with a lower body injury.
Pitkanen returned from a lower body injury on Saturday, but logged just 6:02 minutes in his return. It's not clear at this time if he's aggravated his original injury or if this is an entirely new problem.
