benn was a point per game player last year when he lined up with eriksson.
the only reason he fell from this pace was that he was asked to play with ott and burrish for a large stretch of games because ribeiro was too incompetent to play with anything but top wingers in a protected role without drastically hurting the team. benn also had limited powerplay time. this season benn will have two top six wingers and a regular shift on the top powerplay unit. i think he is as likely as anyone on your list to reach point per game status.

I appreciate hearing from someone who obiously watches a lot of Stars games.

I picked up Benn with my 3rd overall pick with full intention of trying to use him to acquire Ovechkin or Toews. But the more I talk to people about it, the more I'm not so sure that I should be targeting those two. Potentially just keeping Benn for myself and consider moving Getzlaf or Kovy in the summer instead.

I have had an offer sitting on the table to the OV owner.

I give: Benn

I get: Ovechkin and his 2nd round pick

Should I be pulling it off the table before he accepts, or is that a good deal for me if he does.

My other thought is that he has Doughty as well. I know that he's frustrated and doesn't like him anyways. Should I change the offer to include both OV and Doughty?

My pool is very similar to yours, points-only and very similar size.

I offered the Benn owner in my league (about a week before he signed):

Skinner straight up, he countered by asking for my Erik Karlsson.

I offered Bobby Ryan straight-up....and he countered by asking for Skinner and Ryan.

In other words, I'd have needed to knock his socks off to get Benn.

Same for you. If multiple guys want him, work them over and get a good deal.

From my standpoint, I'd want Parise or Toews, but I'd make sure every interested owner is involved, in order to maximize the return for Benn.

As for OV and a 2nd..uh..maybe.

Just have no idea what to make of Ovechkin right now, so I honestly can't give you an answer. Part of me says there's no way on earth you say no to the deal...but the other side really, really, really thinks Oveckin is just a complete lost cause right now.

The Ovie owner and I can't agree on the fallen value of Ovie. So I pulled the offer and have another GM scratching at the door.

His top players are RNH, Parise, Kessel, Perry, Nash and Ryan. I told him that the only players tha I would move Benn for are Nuge or Parise. Should I move Benn, 1 for 1, for either of them. I am planning on making it better for me because he is asking for Benn. But are either of those players an upgrade on Benn?

I'm also very interested in the community's thoughts on this... I have Benn in a new points only limited keeper (8) league and get offers for him every other day. Also get offers for my RNH every 3rd day...

If you could add your comparable forward to either of these guys I'd appreciate knowing what people think their relative values are

In a points only league, i would certainly consider doing a 1 for 1 deal for RNH.

If it was multi-cat I'd have a different opinion, but in a points only league I like Nuge more then Benn long term.
