Default Rather Large Kesler Trade

12-team Dynasty League.

Goalie Categories - W, GAA, SV%, SHO

I just took over this team this season as a challenge. It's a pretty awful team IMO. I'll soon probably be headed into full rebuild mode, but I'd like to wait it out a month or so longer because I know anything can happen in a shortened season like this.

One guy with a great team wants Kesler and Bieksa. Here's my full team:

C, C, C - Weiss, Plekanec, Legwand, Fisher, Stastny, Kesler [IR]
LW, LW, LW - Morrow, Steen (C), Smyth, MacArthur, Tanguay, Kassian, Downie (RW) [IR]
RW, RW, RW - St. Louis, Havlat, Grabner, Kennedy (LW), Silfverberg
W, F, F
Dx6 - Boyle, Bieksa, Girardi, B Smith, Coburn, Spurgeon, Niskanen
G, G - Ward, Bryzgalov, Nabokov, Luongo

He's offered me my Kesler and Bieksa for his Schwartz, Henrique, Berglund, and Ryan Whitney.

I'm intrigued by the potential he's offering me and I could really use some guys who rack up points in the future as I really have none, but both Kesler and Bieksa are multi-cat studs.

Obviously this is a rebuild move which makes me not really want to do right now. Plus, I think I'd be losing out value wise.

I'd probably be dropping Niskanen and... maybe Tanguay?

Here's his whole team:

Tavares, Toews, Kopitar, Couture, J Staal, Berglund, Zajac, Dubinsky, Kovalchuk, Lucic, Carter, Pavelski, Henriqure, Atkinson, Selanne, Yakupov, Stafford, Ladd, Seabrook, Johnson, Hedman, L Schenn, Seidenberg, Byfuglien, Ryan Whitney, and Lundqvist, Rask and Price in goal.

I don't think I want the deal as-is, but would it be too much to ask for, say, Couture rather than Berglund?

Then the trade would become Kesler/Bieksa/Niskanen/Tanguay for Couture/Schwartz/Henrique/Ryan Whitney. I like that better.

Again, I ask because I just joined this league and I'm not trying to offend anybody yet.

Thanks ahead for the input, guys.

in a hits/BS league Kesler and Bieksa are gold. Not sure if he'll ever get back there, but Kesler was a top 5 multi-cat guy 2 seasons ago.

Why trade unless you're getting a stud player/prospect/pick?

I wouldn't count Schwartz as a sure thing, and Henrique/Berglund may have potential, and Whitney's always hurt. I think you're giving up the 2 best players. Maybe for a prospect like Yakupov I'd consider it. Target Pavelski, Lucic, J.Staal, Couture types.
