Team is in sig. To even out the value of defencemen vs. forwards, the league assigns point for ice time, which translates to roughly an extra 30 points per full season for a 22.5 mpg d-man.
I have a young team, but lack a true #1 defenceman. I've asked about OEL, and the response came back Logan Couture. That seems more or less a fair deal, and given my lack of quality defenceman, it would seem to improve my team. Couture had 65 points last year to OEL's 61 (32 points + 29 ice time points). Thoughts?

In your settings, I would certainly do this. Heck, I'd trade Couture for OEL straight up in a points only league. OEL's point totals will only go up and he is good for 25 mins a game consistently. Go for it.

Most cases I think Couture is the better fantasy player, but in a league where D get additional points for TOI, it heavily swings things into OEL's favour.
In your set up I think this deal is way too good to pass up. |
