League in sig.
I've been offered Goldy for my Josh Johnson. To give you an idea of how the points in this league work: Points: Josh Johnson 2012: 352pts (in a down year) 2011: 144pts (in an injury year) 2010: 460pts (finally some good numbers! 183IP) Goldschmidt 2012: 439.50pts (512AB's) 2011: 125pts (156AB's) I'm going to be in trouble with a starting 1B once Konerko decides he's too old to play. He still put up 418pts for me last year, best for 4th on my team. I also have more than the allowable amount of SP's to start next year, so I gotta trim somewhere. The original (verbal) offer was Lincecum for Goldy but he just asked for Johnson instead, said we can "widen the trade to balance it out" if I want. He doesn't have much else. I can ask for a pick though. So what do you say? Is there value to be had here? Can Goldy consistently put up 439pts+? Do I aim for another 1B (they're very hard to get in this league)? Shoot for a good 1B prospect instead? Lincecum? AAAGGHH! thx

I personally like this deal. I'm a fan of goldschmitt and with JJ going where he's going you never know if he's going to get pounded by the Yankees and rays or will he adjust nicely? If you could squeeze a pick that's just a bonus. JJ can have no hit stuff but with inconsistentcey and injuries I'd take my chances with the 25yr old 1st baseman.

I take it you have the years reversed for Gold. I'd take this deal w/o thinking twice for the young 1st basemen vs a pitcher switching to the AL East. The fact you have too many SP already just adds to the "no doubtedness" for me

Thakns guys. I'm leaning towards it too. Johnson was supposed to be one of my aces, but he hasn't even shown up for a season yet. The big P word ("potential") is killing me here...I know what I'll be missing if I move him and he does well lol
Even though I have way too many pitchers, it's the quality of them I'm concerned about. My core is alright as long as Medlen is above average. But...gotta gamble at some point! I'll see if I can swap draft picks with him too

easy deal. Im a hitting over P guy and Goldschmidt looks to be a multi cat producer. JJ has too many ?? especially in T,Oand the injuries. He wont do better than last season and will most likely regress so in your system Goldschidt is already more valuable with upside for more
Take it and run before the guy changes his mind |

Go for it, Goldschmidt is for real and a top-10 1B in my view.
Wrote an article on him as well, if you want to check it out. http://baseball.dobbersports.com/ind...own&Itemid=117

Gah. I'd love to do the trade, but he wants to "expand" the deal, which is code for rip me off :/ Might add Hellickson on my side and Lorenzo Cain on his. I have way too many pitchers. Can't keep em all!
I believe in Goldy. Going to try and get this done. Another steep offer proposed to me was Wilson, Johnson,.Choo for Fielder, Reddick and a 1st rounder in the re-draft

You need to find out how to make both deals happen! I'd give up cj, JJ, and choo for prince, josh and a 1st for sure! You've got lots of arms to so then I'd try to work in konerko and someone for goldy to get his youth and upside.

Price is a beast, josh probably won't duplicate last seasons numbers but he will still have above avg numbers and the 1st is the icing. Then goldy > konerko long term if he interested but you may need to try to toss in lincicum or hell boy and ask for a pick in return if its pitching he's after

Guy with Goldy only wants arms, no interest in Konerko. They're huge in this league, which is why I've kinda stockpiled em
