The inaugural Cage Match Tournament is here! Each week you will vote for the player you would most like to have on your team in a points only keeper league (no positions involved). The poll will be added pending the introduction article on the main page.
Psyched? You had better be!

I'll bite...
Honestly, I voted for Hossa, and I'm thinking I'd want this vote back. In fact, I don't think I even had Zetts on my orig list to you (he says, somewhat embarrassed). Hossa, the name, just seems to ring a bell that fantasy GMs gravitate to, but when you look at the numbers they're pretty even in terms of points per game (Zetts: .93/game to Hossa: .92/game). However, the edge goes to Zetterberg for reliability (71.5 games/season to Hossa's 68) and wear on the tires (NHL seasons played Zetts - 9 to Hossa - 14). In that light I would have to give the vote to Zetterberg in a points only keeper league.

I haven't been around on the boards in a long time but I often look in when I have a spare second. This is an amazing idea and a perfect way to re-introduce myself to the best fantasy hockey community. I posting in the Zetterberg thread because I'm a lifelong Red Wings fan. However in this particular case, I voted for Hossa, razor thin, but points only give me Hossa
Thanks for the Cage Match! It's good to be back (have to change my sig lol)

I prefer Hossa here by a fair margin. I think his injury's over the last 3 years are way over blown when you consider how deep he went in the playoffs every year...
