Default Drop Okposo or B Schenn for Brunner?

Hi there,

I'm contemplating dropping Okposo or Brayden Schenn and picking up Damien Brunner (or possibly Conacher, as he's also available). Just wondering people's thoughts on that. I realize it's kind of a sideways move as all those guys are in the same ballpark, but I'm intrigued by Brunner's abilities and current linemates. That said, Okposo is getting top line action as well, though 2nd PP time so far in the first 2 games this year. I'd appreciate anyones input.

Cheers

I would not do this.

I agree picking up Brunner, but drop someone else less valuable. Both Okposo and Schenn have good upsides to them. Who else can you drop for Brunner? I get the excitement, but don't go crazy for Brunner just yet and cut your feet out from under you by overacting and making a move you should not make.

I'd consider dropping Schenn for Conacher. I have a good feeling about Conacher.

Ya, that's a pretty tough one. You're talking about 3 guys with pretty similarly solid upside. But, I think Brunner has the most. I've watched him pretty close for the 1st 3 games, and he looks like the real deal. You can tell he's still getting used to the rink size and the overall feel of the NHL, but he has a shot at being a difference maker on a fantasy roster.

I would cut Okposo just by default. I actually like him, as well. But, out of Schenn, Brunner, and Okposo in a keeper league he's the odd man out.

Tough call, though. But, I think Brunner is worth a roll of the dice.

I would want to hang onto Okposo. I would be pretty tempted to exchange Schenn for Conacher, I missed out on him in my league and was quite disappointed, and I really like what I've seen from him thus far.

Thanks a lot for the input. I ended up dropping Schenn and picking up Brunner. We'll see how that goes ha. I like that he and Okposo getting top line minutes and are closer to their prime, especially seeing as we only keep 10 each year + a rookie.
