Challenge Dobber by picking the better single-day fantasy team. SATURDAY, February 23 - win your share of $300...details below.
If you haven't heard yet, there’s a new way to play fantasy hockey that turns the season-long grind into quick-hitting one-night leagues. And you can win cash just as easily. Draft a team for one night and get paid out as soon as the games end that night. DraftStreet.com is at the forefront of this new trend in the fantasy world and is giving us a great promotion: A FREE one-day fantasy league - for Saturday's games (games after 7pm, not the afternoon ones) - with $300 in prizes exclusively for DobberHockey readers. You read the likes of myself, Angus and the rest of the DobberHockey crew and perhaps you think "Man, I'd love to take them on in a fantasy league. I'd hand their ass back to them!" Well, not it's time to prove it. Here's your chance. Friday's games, you pick your team, we'll pick ours. Takes two minutes. Though, you'd be advised to put more thought into it than that if you want to take on the likes of me. Win bragging rights. Oh...and also cash! This free contest will be salary-cap style drafting where everyone tries to assemble the best team out of the available players. You have a $100,000 budget to build a team of 2 LW, 2 RW, 2 C, 2 D, 1 G, and a FLEX. Each NHL player has been allocated a price based on their expected fantasy performance. You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on Saturday, February 23 at 7:00pm ET at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available. CLICK HERE to sign up for free by Tuesday and join the DobberHockey $300 Freeroll on DraftStreet.com. And don't feel ashamed if you end up seeing your name far below that of mine. But hey, feel proud of your participation ribbon... Prizes 1st $100 2nd $60 3rd $30 4th $20 5th, 6th $15 7th-9th $10 10th-15th $5 Write comment

night games Yeah I just figured that out. And I really didn't care about it omitting games regardless. But omitting starting goalies is kind of an issue I think. DraftStreet needs to get it together there. |

omissions Also no WSH game. And though the Dal game is there, and Nilstorp likely to start in net, only Bachman is listed. That is a much worse omission that being selective about limiting the number of games. They should have all the possible starting goalies available. As Goldman says we're up to 10 teams now using a 3rd goalie...can't keep pretending they don't exist. |

Free Pool The point breakdown is on the site...click on it and it breaks it down for you in a pop-up. Goals are 3, Assists are 2pts plus lots of other categories... |

... Yeah I also noticed there was no Jets vs Philly players... Also how does the points system work? Are goals and assist equal point value and what about things like plus/minus hits etc? |

Free Pool I joined the free pool Dobber...but didn't notive any WPG or PHI players available in the league. How come? Too much risk of a 9-8 repeat lacrosse score? |

Nothing for beating you this year? Hey Dobber, you used to offer $5 to each team that beat you in the pool, but I can understand why you don't do it anymore. Anything can happen in a one day pool! |

... Hi Dobber, Don't know about handing you your ass (Angus - maybe), but tried to sign up for this and couldn't find it. Are residents of Quebec disallowed? rich |
