Chris Nichols had a fantastic ramblings yesterday. If you missed it, check it out here. It certainly puts my ramblings today to shame. I spent two hours going over my newsfeed, and found nothing that inspired me to ramble - lots of CBA chatter, and some buzz about the NBC TV schedule - but why bother discussing that when the NHL schedule will be changed thanks to a reduced season.

Skating tomorrow in St. Louis for the first time - Vladimir Tarasenko, who apparently has the nickname "The Tank". So there you go. Wasn't that Andrei Kovalenko's nickname too?

The Hockey Writers takes a look at trends since the last lockout. Of interest - the last four teams to win the Stanley Cup had at least one sub-30-win season since the lockout. It indicates that times needed to bad before they got better, i.e. "rebuilds" do work sometimes.

Wild prospect Mario Lucia suffered a broken leg last week and will be sidelined for three months. He is slated to go to Notre Dame. He should be okay by the time the WJC kicks off.
