Eastern Conference
New York Rangers VS Washington Capitals
New York Rangers Brandon Dubinsky, Wing – lower Body – Day-to-Day Dubinsky was not in practice on Tuesday and will not play in game three on Wednesday night.
Brian Boyle returned in game two from his concussion.
Washington Capitals The Caps are a healthy line up. Tomas Vokun is still out with a groin injury, but Michal Neuvirth has returned to back up Braden Holtby
Philadelphia Flyers VS New Jersey Devils
Philadelphia Flyers Andrej Meszaros, Defense – Back – Day-to-Day Meszaros has been sidelined with a back injury but has returned to practice since April 27th. He could be back any game but the excellent play from rookie Erik Gustafsson has allowed the less than 100% Meszaros to remain in the fourth pairing.
Chris Pronger looks closer to retirement that a return in the playoffs.
New Jersey Devils Ilya Kovalchuk, Wing – Lower Body – Day-to-Day Kovalchuk was a scratch for game two with a lower body injury. There is some speculation that it is a back injury. Kovalchuk has been playing through the injury for the better part of the post season. He may return for game three.
Lou Lamooriello commented that Josefson has not resumed skating yet but he will shortly. Josefson has a wrist fracture and is wearing a cast that was recently reduced in size. His return at some point in the series is promising. The chances of Henrik Tallinder returning at any point in the post season are “doubtful”
Western Conference
St. Louis Blues VS Los Angeles Kings
St. Louis Blues Jaroslav Halak, Goal – Ankle –Indefinite Originally forecast to miss the first two games of the series, Coach Hitchcock recently announce that Halak will not be available for the entire second round.
Alex Pietrangelo, Defense – Lower Body – Day-to-Day Pietrangelo took a hit in game one from the Kings Dwight King and went face first into the glass. It was suspected that he suffered a concussion on the play but is officially listed as out with a lower body injury. He missed game two, and his status for game three is unknown.
Los Angeles Kings The Kings are missing Simon Gagne and Kyle Clifford to concussions. Scott Parse will not return from his hip injury during the post season.
Phoenix Coyotes VS Nashville Predators
Phoenix Coyotes No injuries on the Coyotes roster, only Raffi Torres is out while serving his 25 game suspension.
Nashville Predators Also no injuries but both Alex Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn are serving their team imposed one game suspensions for violation of team policy.
