Fantasy Impact: The Florida Panthers have signed Scottie Upshall to a four-year contract worth $14 million.
The Panthers get: A third-line winger with the skills to be a second liner, but he needs to stay healthy. in Florida, he should get that chance, unless they keep adding forwards this summer.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Upshall, if healthy, could get 50 points here. His career high is 34, and odds are he won't play 70 games - Band-Aid Boy. The Panthers may regret this contract next summer, if he keeps getting hurt as often as he does. At this point, Evgeny Dadonov slips down the depth chart (because the team is very much in love with Jack Skille).
Fantasy Players this helps, in order: 1. Upshall
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order: 1. Dadonov 2. Skille 3. prospects, such as Quinten Howden, Michal Repik, etc...
