Fantasy Impact: The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed winger Colby Armstrong to a three-year, $9 million contract.
The Leafs get: more "truculence". Colby is a gritty, edgy forward who is not afraid to drop the gloves and chip in 40 points.
Fantasy Players Impacted: this is a great fit for Armstrong, who will see plenty of ice time in Leaf Land. He'll see some time on both scoring and checking lines. This will hurt Christian Hanson's chances of making the squad and could eat into the ice time of Luca Caputi, though the two play different roles. Still - for Caputi it doesn't help any.
Fantasy Players this helps, in order: 1. Armstrong 2. Phil Kessel (a little more room for him) 3. Gustavsson/Giguere for an extra W or two.
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order: 1. Hanson 2. Caputi
