Fantasy Analysis: Eric Belanger has been traded to the Washington Capitals for a second round draft pick.
The Caps get: a third-line center who can notch 40 points. The Wild get: great return for a pending UFA. Fantasy Players Impacted: This further muddies the Caps picture up front after their top line and Tomas Fleischmann. However, in effect they have created a third line today. Brooks Laich, Eric Belanger and Scott Walker are solid two-way players capable of scoring goals. Of course, this means Eric Fehr heads to the press box, as he is not a fourth-line checker.
In Minnesota, Andrew Ebbett goes from minimal ice time to second-line duty. He is a dark horse for 13 points down the stretch. Players this deal helps, in order. 1. Andrew Ebbett 2. Eric Belanger Players this deal hurts, in order: 1. Eric Fehr 2. Brendan Morrison
