Welcome to the official DobberHockey Olympic Pool! We have managed to secure some great sponsors to both run the pool and reward the winners at the end! The pool is absolutely free to join, and is being run by our friends over at Armchair Pools. To join the pool, simply click the link here, and register a team name. You will then be asked to pick your players - don’t worry about making your final selections now, you can log back in to the site at any time before the Olympics begin and change your picks.

As for the prizes…

1st Place - The winner of the DobberHockey Olympic Pool will receive a brand new, autographed Steve Yzerman Team Canada jersey courtesy of The Sports Lettering Company. The jersey comes with a COA from Lucky Sports (formerly StevieY Authentics), and is absolutely stunning. Check out some pictures.

2nd Place - The runner-up will receive a beautiful signed Jaromir Jagr Washington Capitals jersey, courtesy of your friend and mine, Sin Bin. Jagr is not in the NHL any more, but he will be a big part of the Czech Olympic Team competing in Vancouver! It is because of great members like Sin Bin that DobberHockey is able to grow as both a website and a community.

3rd Place - If you are unable to land one of the top two spots, don’t worry, as we will take care of you. 3rd place will receive one copy of the 2010 DobberHockey Ultimate Fantasy Pack! This usually sells for $28.99 (a good deal anyway, if you ask me), and includes the following:

4th Place - Do you and your buddies run a hockey pool that is tough to track on the regular sites like Yahoo and ESPN? Fear not. In addition to helping run this pool, the kind folks over at Armchair Pools have graciously donated free pools until 2014 (the next Olympics)!!!

This includes pools that you manage as well as those pools in which you are just a participant.  Your free pools come with all the standard Armchair Pool features, which include:

5th-10th Place - The contestants that round out the top 10 will receive DobberHockey gift packs, thanks to James T. The gift packages may include Olympic magnets, Swiss Army knives, LED flashlights, pens, and so on.

Finally, I personally will be awarding a prize to the user with the funniest team name. The winner will receive an autographed 8x10 photo of Eric Staal in a Team Canada jersey.
