Calgary has acquired Jordan Leopold from Colorado for Lawrence Nycholat, a second round pick and Ryan Wilson.
The Flames get: an offensive rearguard whose growth has been stunted by his many injuries. He seems to finally be healthy, but don't count on that in your fantasy league.
The Avs get: a draft pick for their potential UFA. Nycholat is an offensive defenseman, but a fringe NHLer. Wilson is a big, strong defenseman whose upside is probably no more a No. 5 guy.
Fantasy Players impacted: Leopold will produce more if he stays healthy. His presense will help Dion Phaneuf offensively and will hinder Mark Giordano.
