TSN once again has a little feature listing who plays who down the stretch, but it’s here at DobberHockey that you’ll find the key information about each schedule that you’ll need as a fantasy manager in your championship week.
A tough decision can be made easier with these charts showing you the best five and worst five schedules for upcoming seven-day periods. Some of you used them last year but for the benefit of new readers here is a refresher. The number next to the team indicates the 'multiplier' to use on a player's point-per-game pace to give you an idea how many points to expect for that week.
This final week is going have some of the most exciting nights of hockey we have ever seen (followed by some of the deadest); 13 games this Saturday, 10 on Tuesday, 14 on Thursday and a full slate of 15 to end the season next Saturday. I personally love that they are ending the season on a Saturday this year. It’s going to be absolute mayhem.
The last day of the season is going to be pure gold for hockey fans. Game start time is even staggered throughout the day with only three games at 7pm. Looking at it right now, 10 of the 15 games will affect the playoff picture, while the Leafs-Habs, Canucks-Oilers, Ducks-Flames and Islanders-Jackets will have the Fail For Nail tag. Seriously though, the Islanders and Blue Jackets on the last day of the season? Did the NHL know neither would be in contention?
This will be my last Looking Ahead article of the season. Thanks again to Dobber for letting me write for the second consecutive year, and hope you guys enjoyed it.
