DobberHockey was launched on November 5, 2005 by thehockeynews.com fantasy contributor Darryl Dobbs as a place to post his Fantasy Player Rankings. As the site gained in popularity, it was re-launched Sept.13, 2006 and then re-launched again with a Fantasy Hockey Forum Feb.26, 2007. Both re-designs provided by graphic design expert Peter Belanger.
On Nov. 13, 2006, DobberHockey became a full-time endeavor for Dobbs and the Ramblings became a daily must-read, further spurring the popularity of the site. DobberHockey gives a no-holds-barred look at the fantasy hockey world, providing advice, rankings and interaction with its readers.
Besides the Daily Ramblings, DobberHockey also carries nearly two dozen exclusive columnists, as well as the ever-popular fantasy rankings. The Top 300 Fantasy Players is updated on the first of every month, the Top 215 Fantasy Prospects list is updated on the 10th of every month, the Top 100 Fantasy Goaltenders list is updated on the 20th of every month and the Top 100 Fantasy Defensemen list is updated on the first of every month - even during the offseason.
